December 31, 2025 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on December 25, 2025, at 9:27 p.m., officers with the Sonora Police SPD Whiteepartment stopped a white Ford Explorer for an equipment violation. Officers identified the female driver as 35-year-old Annastasia M. White of Columbia. Canine Ridge conducted a vehicle sniff and alerted to the presence of narcotics. Officers searched the vehicle and located a fabric bag containing syringes and methamphetamine.

A record check showed White had two prior convictions for narcotics possession. White was taken to the Tuolumne County Jail and booked for possession of narcotics with two or more priors, which is a felony enhancement under Proposition 36. She was also booked for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes they’ve been charged with. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
