DUI Driver Arrested After Running Over Toddler 

January 4, 2026 – Clovis Police Department officials report that at 2:23 P.M. on Saturday that Clovis Police responded to a report of a toddler struck by a truck in the Trader Joe’s parking lot at Willow and Nees. The toddler was awake and alert and transported to the hospital in stable condition with moderate injuries. The toddler’s mother was also struck and was seen by EMS.

The driver, 62-year-old Steve Myer of Prather, was arrested for felony DUI and will be booked into Fresno County Jail. A small portion of the parking lot was closed as our Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated.
