One-Way Traffic Control on State Route 140 in Mariposa County
Caltrans to Begin Rock Scaling Work
February 6, 2026 – MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have one-way traffic control in place on State Route 140 (SR-140) this week near the community of Incline in Mariposa County.
Caltrans Geo-Technical, Highway Operations, and Maintenance Crews will be performing needed rock scaling work to safeguard the roadway for motorists and avoid future long-term traffic impacts to the traveling public.
As a result of the rock scaling work this week, Caltrans will have one-way traffic control in place on SR-140 from Yosemite Cedar Lodge to the SR-140 temporary bridge beginning Friday, February 6 through Tuesday, February 10, 2026, scheduled daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Caltrans is advising motorists of potential 10-15 minute traffic delays, to exercise patience, and if needed seek alternative routes along SR-41 and SR-120 into Yosemite National Park (YNP). Caltrans has notified first responders, YNP, Yosemite Area Transportation System (YARTS), and the local elected officials of the potential traffic impacts.
