Rain Forces Minor Change to FSO K-9 Trials at Clovis Rodeo Grounds

February 21, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials announce minor changes for today’s K-9 event due to rain issues at the fairgrounds.

This event commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Fresno County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit. Participants will be from 23 agencies across the state. Handlers will work with their dogs through a series of skills training, competing to win trophies.

This is a free event, open to all ages. It is taking place on Saturday, February 21 at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The recent rain has caused a slight change in plans. Due to muddy conditions, it will not take place inside the Clovis Rodeo arena, but rather next to the arena in an open field. This means the bleachers will no longer be an option to sit and view the trials.

If you do not wish to stand, please bring your own chair to make it more comfortable.

Local vendors will be on site with food and drinks. The list includes Dab Tacos, LLC, Colorado Grill, Sunflowers and Grace Coffee and Shake And Sip Lemonade.
