Mariposa County Library Presents: Birding Film Event!
March 29, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials announce upcoming Birding Film event on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Join us on Tuesday, March 31 for a double feature of feathery fun with the short documentaries, “Building for Birds” and “Puffling Patrol,” and learn about issues related to birds!
This event will be held at the Mariposa Library located at 4978 10th Street from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and is free to attend!
There will also be a chance to win some bird-related raffle prizes!
Building for Birds: This documentary highlights the deadly impact of glass windows on bird populations and showcases innovative solutions being implemented by organizations like the Smithsonian's National Zoo and more! Includes simple ways to make your windows "bird safe" at home.
Puffling Patrol: Puffling Patrol follows a growing community of young citizen scientists in Iceland who rescue lost pufflings (puffin chicks) that have lost direction due to artificial lights from the town and highlights the impact light pollution has on birds.
