April 17, 2026 – Sonora Police Department officials report that on April 15, 2026, at 10:18 p.m., officers with the Sonora Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation on Washington Street near Gold Street. Upon contact, the driver was identified as 46-year-old Issac Bisset. Bisset had a felony warrant and was placed under arrest. Bisset possessed a pipe and a clear, plastic bag containing 0.66 grams of methamphetamine. A records check showed Bisset had 2 or more prior convictions for possession of a controlled substance.

Bisset was booked at the Tuolumne County Jail for his felony warrant, felony possession of a controlled substance with 2 or more priors, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

It’s important to remember that the individuals mentioned in this report were arrested based on suspicion of the crimes with which they’ve been charged. All such charges are mere allegations, and all defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty
