April 27, 2026 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be temporarily closing State Route caltrans427140 from Bear Creek (Briceburg) to the Yosemite Cedar Lodge (Incline) as of 7:00 a.m., on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Caltrans will resume rock scaling work this week to remove additional talus material and will temporarily close the highway through Wednesday, April 29, 2026, for the safety of the traveling public.

After work is completed this week Caltrans will evaluate the roadway to deem it safe for reopening to motorists.
