TRAFFIC ADVISORY
One-Way Traffic Controls for May 10-16, 2026
May 10, 2026 – Mariposa County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County this week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 49
- One-way traffic control from Miller Road to South State Route 140 for electrical work beginning Sunday, May 10, through Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Vista Point to Crown Lead Road for utility work on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from County Road to Black Creek Road for utility work on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control from the Tuolumne/Mariposa County line to Black Oak for utility work beginning Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
State Route 140
- One-way traffic control from Miller Road to Fourth Street for electrical work beginning Sunday, May 10, through Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from the Redbud Lodge to El Portal for shoulder work beginning Monday, May 11, through Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at Hornitos Road for utility work on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
