September 19, 2016 – Over 4 Million people have visited Yosemite National Park since January 1, 2016.
August 2016 visitors to Yosemite National Park by auto rises 9.8% from August 2015. Year to date numbers show an increase of visitors by auto of 21.9%.
The Arch Rock Entrance Station (Mariposa -Highway 140) had an increase of visitors by auto of 13.6% compared to August 2015. Year to date numbers show an increase of visitors by auto of 17.0%.
The Big Oak Flat Entrance Station (Groveland - Highway 120) had an increase of visitors by auto of 16.5% compared to August 2015. Year to date numbers show an increase of visitors by auto of 24.2%.
The South Entrance (Oakhurst - Highway 41) had a decrease of visitors by auto of -.01% compared to August 2015. Year to date numbers show an increase of visitors by auto of 15.4%.
The total recreation visitors to Yosemite National Park for August 2016 was up by 5.2% compared to August 2015. Year to date numbers show an increase of recreation visitors of 19.5%.
