E-Motorcycle Enforcement

July 4, 2026 – Clovis Police Department officials report that two teenagers are without their electric motorcycles after being pulled over on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Just after 4:00 P.M., a Clovis Police traffic officer pulled over two teenagers riding e-motorcycles on Dewolf near Barstow.

Both 15-year-olds were issued citations for driving without a license, and their e-motorcycles were impounded. Their parents were also warned that if this occurs again, the parents could face criminal charges.

As electric modes of transportation become more popular, our officers will continue to enforce traffic laws to keep our public roadways safe. To report a reckless driver, dial 911 when it’s safe to do so.
