July 26, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials announce upcoming class on how create tin can wind chime at El Portal Library.

Where are our El Portalians at? We have a special event just for you. On Thursday, July 30 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the El Portal Library, you can come create a free tin can windchime!

Learn the basics of turning ordinary tin cans into beautiful windchimes! All supplies are provided. You are welcome to bring your own clean tin cans if you'd like to create multiple windchimes.

Registration is preferred to help us have a headcount. Call 209-966-2140 to sign up. The library is located at 9670 Rancheria Flat Road in El Portal.
