One-Way Traffic Controls on State Routes 49, 132 & 140 for August 16-22, 2026 

August 15, 2026 – Mariposa County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 140 (SR-140) in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Watt Road for drainage work beginning Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Stumpfield Mountain Road for drainage work beginning Monday, August 17, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 132

  • One-way traffic control from Shimer Drive Way to Piney Creek Road for utility work on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Old Highway 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from Midpines Summit to Cobey Lane for utility work beginning Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Dry Gulch to Foresta Road for highway construction work on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
