September 12, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Fresno County Sheriff – Coroner’s Office needs the public’s help locating relatives of 64-year-old Marcos Perez.

On August 13, 2026, Perez was found unresponsive behind a store in Mendota and later pronounced deceased.

Staff at the Coroner’s Office have searched numerous personal records, but their attempts to contact family members have been unsuccessful. Locating immediate family members is a necessary process in order for the Coroner’s Unit to release the body and allow the person to have a proper burial.
