September 19, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Exeter Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 300 block of Jacob Place in Exeter.

Exeter Police, Farmersville Police, Lindsay Police and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene and found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot. CPR was rendered and the boy was taken to the Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia for further treatment. He is in critical condition.

At the request of the Exeter Police Department, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation.
