September 29, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Coroner’s Office needs the public’s help locating relatives of 72-year-old Ernie Jimenez Mendez.

On August 17, 2026, Jimenez was found deceased at his home in Fresno.

Staff at the Coroner’s Office have searched numerous personal records, but their attempts to contact family members have been unsuccessful. Locating immediate family members is a necessary process in order for the Coroner’s Unit to release the body and allow the person to have a proper burial.
