October 2, 2026 - The Sierra National Forest is excited to share that road work is now underway on the Sierra Scenic Byway in the Bass Lake Ranger District, thanks to a newly awarded repair and maintenance contract. This project will improve key sections of the Byway, including Minarets Road, Beasore Road, and Sky Ranch Road.

Crews are working on multiple locations along the route, addressing important needs like asphalt patching, brushing, fog (edge-line) striping, and drainage improvements.

Public and worker safety is our top priority. Please drive with caution, watch for workers and equipment, and follow all traffic controls or directions from road personnel when approaching work zones. Please also allow extra time for minor delays.
