October 12, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials announce Red Cloud Branch to host presentation on Birds of Prey in Coulterville.

We are bringing an exciting program to the north side of the county. Share the science of adaptation and survival with raptors on Saturday, October 24!

From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., bird expert Cat Krosschell will be leading this amazing program, bringing you the beauty and excitement of North American raptors to you!

Experience the silent flight of a Great Horned Owl; stare into the eyes of a Red-tailed Hawk and wonder at its beauty; learn about the Peregrine Falcon while watching its movement on the glove.

This program will take place at our Red Cloud Branch, located at 10332-C Fiske Road, Coulterville, CA 95311. It is free to attend and no registration is needed.

We are planning to hold a similar event in Mariposa a few weeks later. Stay tuned for details!
