November 8, 2026 – MODESTO, CA – Modesto Police Department officials report that six suspected gang members were arrested Wednesday morning following a home invasion robbery in Modesto that led to a coordinated investigation involving patrol officers, detectives, specialized investigative units, and allied law enforcement agencies.

On November 4, 2026, Modesto Police patrol officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Goldrun Drive after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. Responding officers arrived as three suspects were returning to a vehicle parked in the immediate area. A fourth suspect fled on foot into a neighboring backyard.

Officers quickly established a perimeter and, with assistance from the Investigative Services Division (ISD), conducted a coordinated search of the surrounding neighborhood. The fleeing suspect was located hiding in a backyard near Hubert Street and taken into custody.

As the investigation continued, officers learned there were two additional suspects that fled prior to officers’ arrival. Officers reviewed neighborhood surveillance footage and identified an associate vehicle with the additional suspects. Using our City-wide camera systems, including our Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology, investigators identified the vehicle and located it at a residence in Ceres.

At the Ceres residence, detectives observed the two suspects leaving in a vehicle. Modesto Police stopped the vehicle and took both suspects into custody.

A search of the vehicle revealed evidence consistent with items stolen during the robbery. Detectives subsequently served a search warrant at the Ceres residence, recovering additional evidence connected to the crime. Investigators also discovered clothing and masks believed to have been worn during the robbery.

A total of six individuals were arrested and booked on multiple felony charges including robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury, and criminal street gang participation.

This case is a great example of what can be accomplished when our community, law enforcement, and technology work together. From the initial call for help and neighborhood surveillance footage to the coordinated efforts of our officers and the use of our City-wide camera systems, each played an important role in identifying and apprehending those responsible. We want criminals to know that Modesto is not a place where they can commit violent crimes and expect to get away with it.
