The Dark Hole and El Portal Fires will be managed by the California Interagency Incident Management Team 5, a Type 1 team for efficiency.
Location Yosemite Creek south of Tioga Rd, 1.5 miles south of Yosemite Creek CG
590 acres,started by lighting and 5% contained.
Fire is being suppressed by constructing handline and using MIST tactics.
Aircraft continue to be used to assist firefighters with water drops when needed.
