August 22, 2014 - Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) released the following statement reacting to today's announcement from the Obama Administration on contraception policy:

"Now that the administration has bent over backwards to accommodate religiously affiliated non-profits, it's time for these organizations to put this issue behind them and allow women to receive the affordable contraceptives they need and deserve.

"I also support the process the administration has started to ensure that employees who work for closely-held corporations get birth control coverage, even if their employer refuses to provide it.

"I will continue fighting in the Senate for the day when no woman's boss can veto her coverage for birth control or any other critical health service."
