Becky-CaracoInspired by the beauty and complexity of nature, two of the jewelry artists at this year’s Mariposa-Yosemite Rotary Art & Wine Festival are Becky Caraco and SaraLynn Nusbaum.

Using a torch and colorful rods of glass, Becky Caraco sculpts glass into beads with character and depth.  The changeable nature of glass and the reactions that can occur with different combinations provide for changing, never exactly the same, works of art.  Her beads range from simple and colorful with bumpy dots to complicated layered masterpieces.

SaraLynn-NusbaumSaraLynn Nusbaum describes her style as bohemian-influenced but elegant, often mixing metals and incorporating leather into her designs.

Creating jewelry provided a much needed balance to her busy professional life.  Now retired, she is able to devote more of her energy into this creative pursuit. The beauty of Mariposa County inspires her designs and her work has connected her to this community.

These are only two of the fabulous artists who will be showcasing their creations at the festival.  Local artists will present a colorful and creative variety of their wares from handcrafted jewelry, photographs, paintings, sculpture and weavings. Several artists will be on site demonstrating their talents.  Chat with the wine makers while sipping and swirling their flavorful passions.
