Coulterville CoyoteFest Opportunities for Both Non-Profits and Individuals Abound!

Saturday, September 26th is getting closer!

The Coulterville CoyoteFest will be here before you know it!  It’s time to get a “roundtoit”… tune up your vocal cords for the 30th Annual Coyote Howl contest, look around for those furry ears or tails in the closet, get that work done on your classic or antique automobile so it’s in tip top shape and fill out the application forms for whatever you are doing and SEND THEM IN!!!

Sign-up forms for vendors, parade and car show participants are now available online at: coultervillehistorycenter.org.  T-Shirt & Kids Korner Sponsors are still needed and those forms are also available from the event page of the website.  Or stop by the museum during regular hours to pick one up or call 209-878-3015 and leave your email or mailing address and one will be sent to you.  As Wile. E Coyote says, "Don't let the Roadrunner pass you by, sign up today!”

Speaking of signing up…Sign-ups for the 50/50 Horseshoe contest are now open.  This is limited to just 12 two-person teams, so call Linda at 209-742-6653 or Dan at the History Center, 209-878-3015 right away!  Dennis Fiske will be returning as “Pit-Boss”.  The cost is just $10 a team.  Clubs, families, businesses are all encouraged to join the fun… expertise NOT needed!

This year’s Parade Grand Marshall is John Shimer.  The Odd Fellows have generously stepped in to organize and sponsor the parade.  They encourage everyone who knows how much John and the entire Shimer family do for Coulterville, to sign up and participate in the parade!  The more organizations and individuals that participate, the more fun for everyone!

Speaking of Sponsors, if you happen to head over to Fremont, drop by Allied Auto Stores, who is the CoyoteFest Event sponsor, as well as the Car Show & Trophy Sponsor, and let them know you appreciate their major support of our local event!

If you happen to notice coyotes mysteriously popping up ‘round town, it’s thanks to the efforts of NMCHC president, Bill Lane and the Don Pedro Rattler 4H’rs.  Bring the entire family to this fun family day!
