Angela Lloyd

A Virtuoso on the Washboard, Musician and Featured Storyteller

Angela LloydDescribed as “a delightful mixture of Maria Von Trapp, Mary Poppins and Tinkerbell” Angela Lloyd entertains and captivates her audiences of all age groups from the very young to those celebrating their 100th years.  A featured storyteller and musician, Angela will appear at the Mariposa County Arts Council's, 29th Mariposa Storytelling Festival, to take place in the tiny township of Mariposa California March 11 to 13, 2016.  Described as a “One Woman Band” she combines stories culled from such children’s story notables as A. A. Milne and Carl Sandberg together with songs from her own childhood. She often accompanies her stories with her talent and skill on the autoharp, washboard and guitar, making a truly unique performance in style and artistry.

Children can also experience Angela's exceptional stories, story-poems and folksongs at the special 2:00 pm, Children's Story Concert, on Saturday, March 12 in the Auditorium, at Mariposa County High School.  Admission for children is FREE, when accompanied by an adult, who may bring up to four children to the performance.  Adult tickets are $4, and may be ordered online or purchased at the door. Another Mariposa favorite storyteller, this will be Angela's fifth appearance at the Mariposa Storytelling Festival.  Nan Oswald will be offering ASL interpretation for the hearing impaired at the Children's Story Concert.
