*$30,000 Reward* Information Wanted in the 2023 Murder of Hector Ascencio Sr. 

March 28, 2024 - Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Homicide Detectives from the Sheriff’s Department are seeking assistance with information regarding the murder of Hector Ascencio Sr.

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, the victim was shot and killed after answering the front door of his residence on the 2500 block of Glenwood Place in the city of South Gate.  The victim’s adolescent granddaughter witnessed the murder. 

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the City of South Gate have each authorized a $20,000, and $10,000 reward for a total of $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved.
