Man shot on Smilax Road, Unincorporated Vista

April 14, 2024 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report Deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station are investigating a shooting in Unincorporated Vista.
It happened on Saturday, April 13th, around 9:06 p.m. near the intersection of Smilax Road and Mimosa Avenue in Unincorporated Vista.

The victim, a teen-age male, was shot as he was walking near the intersection of Smilax Road and Mimosa Avenue in Unincorporated Vista.  Deputies arrived at the scene and discovered the male being treated by personnel from the San Marcos and Vista Fire Departments.  The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

There is currently no suspect description, and no suspects are in custody.

The victim is being treated at the hospital and is in stable condition.

Man shot on S. Santa Fe Avenue, City of Vista

Deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station are investigating a shooting in the City of Vista.
It happened on Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 8:30 p.m. in the 300 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vista.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, was shot as he was walking in the 300 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue in Vista.  Deputies arrived at the scene and located the victim. Vista Fire Department personnel arrived, treated the victim, and transported him to local hospital for treatment.
