August 9, 2017 - This coming Saturday, August 12th the Mariposa Democratic Club will host another candidate for Congress. Roza Calderon of Lincoln, CA., will be speaking at 9:45 a.m. at the Miner’s Roadhouse. This gathering is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
Calderon is a geoscientist, community organizer, and a small business owner. She fled her home country of El Salvador and arrived in the U.S. as a refugee at the age of two. Raised in the “All-American City” of Lincoln, CA., she planted her roots and is raising her family in Congressional District 4. Roza values hard work and understands the importance of restoring the faith in the American Dream.
She is dedicated to standing up for working, blue-collar families to secure their livelihoods. The American Dream is rooted in the ideas that every child deserves equal opportunity to excel and that individuals who work hard should have a fair shot to get ahead, no matter where they started in life.
This is your chance to hear Calderon speak and have a chance to ask questions.
After you hear the candidate there will be a special announcement of a new initiative formed by the counties in Congressional District 4 with plans to unseat Congressman McClintock. This is exciting news and the leadership believes you will be excited to hear about it.
