March 20, 2018 - SACRAMENTO —Following the most destructive wildfire season in California history, Senators Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) and Steve Glazer (D-Orinda) will convene a joint informational hearing on Tuesday, March 20, hannah beth jackson california senator2018 on the affordability and availability of homeowners’ insurance amid the growing threat of increasingly catastrophic wildfires. “The 2017 wildfire season was the most destructive in California history, with insured losses exceeding $11 billion and counting. Amid this growing threat of increasingly destructive wildfires, it is critical that California homeowners are able to find and afford adequate insurance coverage so they are able to rebuild and recover when the next disaster strikes,” said Senator Jackson.
