December 7, 2014 - October 2014 visitors to Yosemite National Park by auto rises 18% from October 2013.
Update: December 8, 2014 - The park was affected by the government shutdown for a number of days during October 2013. The roads into the park were not affected during October from the smoldering remains of the Rim Fire. 2013 visitation numbers were affected by the Rim Fire that burned into the park.

The Arch Rock Entrance Station (Mariposa -Highway 140) had a increase of visitors by auto of 43.5% compared to October 2013. Year to date numbers show a increase of visitors by auto of 2.0%
The Big Oak Flat Entrance Station (Groveland - Highway 120) had a decrease of visitors by auto of 0.6% compared to October 2013. Year to date numbers show a increase of visitors by auto of 9.5%
The South Entrance (Oakhurst - Highway 41) had a increase of visitors by auto of 16.2% compared to October 2013. Year to date numbers show a increase of visitors by auto of 2.8%
The total visitors by auto to Yosemite National Park for October 2014 was up by 18.7% compared to October 2013. Year to date numbers show a increase of visitors by auto of 5.1%
