Recently, SFCS teacher Wendy Baumann received a $500 grant award from Kids First to buy science related books for her first and second graders. The classroom just received the books and students are so excited.
The books are at just the right reading level for Mrs. Baumann's students.

Collin Hopman is also thrilled with the new books.

One student came up to Mrs. Baumann and asked her to read one of the books to him.  He said he wouldn't be able to read it. Mrs. Baumann told him, "Are you sure about that? Give it a try." He then went on to read the book. He was so excited and then asked to read the book to the class!
