May 6, 2015 - On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at around 11:00 A.M. Daniel Green, 62, of Mariposa was riding his Fisher bicycle northbound on Triangle Road at the intersection of East Westfall Road. Darlene Prough, 78, of Mariposa driving a 1995 Ford Taurus was southbound on Triangle Road and was making a left turn onto East Westfall Road.  

Ms. Prough's vehicle and Mr. Green's bicycle collided in the intersection.

Mr. Green was thrown off of his bicycle and received major injuries and was transported by air ambulance to Modesto Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Ms. Prough was transported to John C. Fremont Hospital as a precaution.

The CHP said the cause of the accident is still under investigation but alcohol was not determined to be a contributing factor.
