Our energies right now are devoted to plans for our Annual Dinner, scheduled for the evening of Friday, September 12 at 5:00 p.m., in the Coulterville Community Hall. This is our opportunity to celebrate the year’s successes of our spay/neuter program and to acknowledge the many people who have helped us work toward our goals. We would love to have any interested individuals attend the dinner. Food and beverages will be provided by our Board members. All we ask is that you RSVP to Carmel at 209-878-3134 by September 5. We expect to see a lot of renewing members plus new members.
We regard our work as very important in dealing with the big problem of unwanted dogs and cats in the communities of Big Oak Flat, Greeley Hill, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and Coulterville. Unfortunately, the foothills have become a dumping ground for unwanted dogs and cats. One litter of 8 puppies or kittens that are simply dropped off somewhere become a problem in one way or another for all of us, not to mention that it is morally unacceptable in today’s society. Let’s work together to solve this problem. Find out how you can help us! We are all volunteers. We have no paid staff, no office, and no equipment. But we care deeply about our work.
Other than the Annual Dinner (and very brief business meeting), please note on your calendars the 49ers’ festival on September 20 in Groveland Park and the Coyote Fest on September 27, in Coulterville Park.
