With the Unemployment Rate decreasing from June 2013, employment was up 100 residents compared to June 2013. June 2014 had 9,290 residents employed compared to 9,190 in June 2013.
The unemployment rate decreased .3% from May 2014 (6.5%) and decreased 1.6% from June 2013 (7.8%). Employment in the Leisure and Hospitality industry had 90 more employees compared to June 2013.

The labor force can keep increasing as the students in the schools start applying for jobs. So every year the number could go up just on the rate of the local school children reaching the age where they apply for jobs. Additionally the rate can increase by people moving into the county and are looking for work or are working. The rate decreases by people leaving the county for various reasons, retiring, dying or dropping off the labor rolls as they give up looking for a job. The Civilian labor force data are by place of residence; include self-employed individuals, unpaid family workers, household domestic workers, & workers on strike.
