Yesterday: Conditions were sunny and afternoon temperatures as high 103 degrees were reported. Humidity dropped below 10% in some areas. Winds were generally terrain driven with afternoon and evening gusts from the west 1orthwest between 15 and 20 mph along ridgetops. Today: Temperatures are expected to be well above normal. Triple digit highs are likely in the warmest locations. Afternoon humidity will again drop to near 10%. A mid-level trough moving into the region will shift winds to southwesterly and increase the strength and frequency of wind gusts in the afternoon and evening. Gusts of 20 to 30 mph along ridgetops will be possible. Gusts around 20 mph will be possible in drainages open to the southwest. |
