Evening Update 6:30 P.M. Per CAL FIRE: 21 Acres with 50% Containment. 

Update 4:00 P.M. Per CAL FIRE: Sonora – As of 4:00 P.M. today, September 2, 2022, ALL mandatory evacuations and evacuation warnings are cancelled. These areas include:

MANDATORY EVACUATIONS: All of Golden Dove Dr., Circle Dr., Silver Pine Dr., North Dr., Fairway Dr. Outlook Dr., Martha Dr., McKibbon Dr., Alley Dr., Mountain Vista Court, Constance Lane, Chabroullian Lane and Outlook Drive and Areas East of Golf Links Rd.

EVACUATION WARNINGS: Jamestown Rd., Racetrack Rd., Ponderosa Dr., Cottage Ct., Gibbs Dr., Woodside Way, Golf Links West of Chabroullian Lane.

The road closure on Stockton Road from Ponderosa Way to Highway 108 will remain closed.

Update 8:15 A.M. Tuolumne County Sheriff: Mandatory Evacuation Orders and Warnings will remain in place while fire crews continue to work throughout the day to maintain and increase containment. Calfire reports the fire is 21 acres and the forward rate of spread has been stopped. Damage assessment from the fire will be ongoing and updates provided as conditions change and new information becomes available. Thank you!

Update: 7:00 A.M. Intensive and aggressive work overnight by firefighters has led to the forward progress of the fire being stopped. After mapping by intelligence aircraft, the fire is 21 acres and 10% contained. Firefighters will continue to construct and strengthen established containment lines throughout the day. 21 Acres with 10% Containment

September 2, 2022 - As of Friday morning at 4:20 A.M. the CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit reports on the Woods Fire saying intensive and aggressive work overnight by firefighters has led to the forward progress of the fire being stopped.

After mapping by intelligence aircraft the fire is 21 acres and 10% contained.

Near Hwy. 108 and Stockton Road, Sonora (Tuolumne County)
