Fork Fire near North Fork, in Madera County is at 819 Acres with 40% Containment, with 26 Structures and 13 Outbuildings Destroyed.

Update for 3:00 P.M. Per Madera County Sheriff’s Office

The Madera County Office of Emergency Services is happy to announce the reduction of Evacuation Orders to WARNINGS for the following areas:

- MDC-101C: Northside of Road 225 from Cascadel Road to Rainbow Drive;

- MDC-101D: Road 225 from Lark Lane to Tera Tera Ranch Road, Boulder Creek Drive, Whiskey Pines Drive

The remaining Evacuation ORDERS are still in place:

- MDC-88C: Road 228 from the North Fork Cemetery to the dead end;

- MDC-101A: Southside of Road 225 from Cascadel Road to Lark Lane, Tu Nobi Way, Poy Ah Now Road

The remaining Evacuation WARNINGS are still in place (*in addition to above):

- MDC-100A: Road 222 from Carmen Ranch Road to Madera/Fresno County Line;

- MDC-101F: Road 225 from Tera Tera Ranch Road to Kingman Flat Road;

Fork Fire- Spoiled Food Waste Disposal Site Available
In an effort to support residents who have been impacted by the #ForkFire evacuations, the Madera County Office of Emergency Services is partnering with the Madera County Public Works Department to provide a disposal location for spoiled food waste resulting from evacuations.
Starting at 11am today (9/9), residents may bring spoiled food waste to the North Fork Transfer Station at 33699 Road 274, North Fork.
ID and proof of residence may be required. ONLY residents from impacted evacuation zones will be permitted to dispose.
Services are limited to •spoiled food waste• resulting from wildfire evacuations. Sites will be monitored, and anything outside of those guidelines may be refused.

Update Per CAL FIRE: 819 Acres with 20% Containment

Per Madera County Public Works Department:
 Evacuation orders and road closures in the North Fork area due to the Fork Fire have been relaxed as of the evening of 9/8/22. The Transfer Station will reopen today (9/9/22) and resume normal operating schedule. It should be noted that should there be any impacts due to changes with the Fork Fire incident, operations may be shut down if necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and thank you to all the #firefighter and #lawenforcement personnel for all their work to contain the fire and protect the community!

September 9, 2022 - As of Friday morning, CAL FIRE reports the Fork Fire is at 780 acres with 20% containment.
