Traffic Advisory One-Way Traffic Control on State Routes 49 and 140 

September 30, 2022 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (September) will perform various operations on State Routes 49 and 140 from October 3-7, 2022.

Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Tiptop-Usona Road to Hirsch Road for tree work beginning Monday, October 3, through Friday, October 7, 2022, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    • One-way traffic control from Moccasin Creek to Bear Valley Road for shoulder work beginning Monday, October 3, through Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route 140

  • One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022.

    • One-way traffic control from Triangle Road to Ponderosa Way for tree work beginning Monday, October 3, through Thursday, October 6, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022.

    • Long-term one-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Bull Creek Road for slope repair and clearing through October 2022.

    • One-way traffic control at various points from the Merced/Mariposa County Line to the beginning of the passing lane for highway construction beginning Monday, October 3, through Friday, October 7, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
