.SYNOPSIS...
Mild days and seasonably cool nights will continue through
Halloween. A Pacific storm system will move through the region
Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing us much cooler temperatures,
along with rain and mountain snow. Gusty winds will accompany the
storm system, becoming strong in typically wind prone areas
Tuesday and Wednesday.

.DISCUSSION...
Mild and dry conditions will begin our forecast period as the
area remains under the influence of high pressure. Temperatures
sit in the low to mid 70's for much of the valley locations.
Halloween will remain dry with temperatures scattered throughout
the valley during peak outing times starting in the mid 70's and
dropping to the low 70's as night falls.
Changes are in order come Tuesday as a Pacific storm system makes
its presence felt. Rain will push in from the north and slowly
spread southward Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday. Elevations
above roughly 6500 feet will see snowfall on the onset of this
system.
Models have been on a downward trend over the past several days as
far as total QPF goes with this system, especially for lower
valley locations. Mountain locations could see heavier amounts of
snowfall late Tuesday into Wednesday with some lingering snowfall
into Thursday.
Accompanying the rain and snow will be gusty winds with much of
the usual areas expected to see some higher gusts as this system
makes its way through the region.
