October 31, 2022 - Stanislaus National Forest officials announce the return of our "Stanislaus National Forest Presents" virtual live education program series! Our season's first program will be this Thursday, November 3rd from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm for Tree Identification.

Join Ranger Kathy to learn more about the trees you see in the Stanislaus National Forest. Like, what is a Tsuga mertensiana, Pinus, or Abies? Did you know the Jeffrey pine resin can be explosive? Or that those same trees smell like vanilla or butterscotch? She will share tips on identifying trees and exciting and fun facts about our unique trees in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range.
