November 4, 2022 - Mariposa County’s Citizenship project from the Hornitos 4-H Club is hosting the 8th ANNUAL FIELD OF SERVICE. This program will coincide with the week of Veteran’s Day and will bring an incredible visual accent to help participants honor those men and women who have placed duty, honor, and country, before self.
During the week of Veterans Day, November 12, 2022 to November 19, 2022, hundreds of flags will fly at the Mariposa Museum and History Center. These flags will pay tribute to all Military Men and Women, Emergency First Responders, Firemen, Law Enforcement, and Special People in Our Lives. Remembering those who have served, to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and to those that continue to protect our freedom.
We are working with the Healing Field® and Field of Honor® programs that have been created as a symbol of freedom, liberty, honor, and respect, for the ideals and principles symbolized by the flag of the United States of America. These fields of 3x5 ft. flags on 8 ft. poles are displayed for the purpose of promoting and supporting charitable causes and making the flag of the United States of America available for patriotic, educational, and charitable purposes. Additionally, these fields further promote the education of future generations and awareness for causes pertaining to the good and honorable values symbolized by our nation’s flag.
All proceeds from the 8th Annual Field of Service-Past will benefit the Mariposa Museum and History Center. We hope that you will find that besides the pride of being part of such a worthy cause, you will also see the value of supporting and contributing to this special event. Please join and support the Field of Service flag display in honoring our heroes.
