January 12, 2023 - CASA welcomes new volunteers and you can learn all about it on Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 A.M. Monica Martinez, Program Director of CASA of Mariposa, will give a presentation at the Miners Inn.

This non-profit organization works with youths by advocating for them. CASA means Court Appointed Special Advocate. They help abused and neglected youths. Currently 23 youths are being helped through CASA, but there is a need for 25 more youths.

There are many ways to volunteer. Some volunteers like to help with annual fundraisers. Others want to work directly with youths. Some people just want to donate and some participate in their vehicle donation program.

This program is being offered free of charge by the Mariposa Democratic Club. All citizens are welcome. Coffee will be available. People are also able to arrive a little early and order breakfast.

After the informative program there will be an election of officers for 2023. There will be a brief discussion of upcoming issues and opportunities to be more involved in local, state, and national politics.
