Mariposa County Solid Waste and Recycling
January and February 2023 Holiday Schedule
January 14, 2023 - Due to power outages caused by ongoing storm events, our Department of Solid Waste and Recycling Facility will be accepting spoiled food from Mariposa County residents free of charge during normal operating hours now through Saturday, January 21.
*NOTE: Both the Landfill and Recycling Facilities will be closed on Monday, January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Landfill will be closed on Tuesday, January 17th, BUT the Recycling facility will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. See image 4 for the January and February holiday schedule.
Spoiled food must be bagged separately from regular household trash. Please inform the Scale House or Recycling Facility attendant you have spoiled food for disposal and they will provide directions.
