UPDATE #6: Round-the-Clock One-way Traffic Control In Effect on State Route 140
January 26, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues to make progress clearing a rockslide that occurred on Sunday, January 15, 2023, temporarily closing State Route 140 near Briceburg in Mariposa County.
One-way traffic control currently is in place 24 hours a day through the area. There is no limit to vehicle type. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
Caltrans is working as safely and expeditiously as possible to reopen the highway in both directions and is on schedule to complete the project sooner than the initial mid-February estimate, subject to weather, traffic incidents, availability of equipment and/or material, and construction-related issues.
