February 11, 2023 – The Merced Police Department reported that on February 7, 2023, at approximately 6:41 P.M., Merced Police officers responded to the Grocery Outlet located at 1125 W Main St. in Merced for an armed robbery. The suspect was already gone when officers arrived on scene. He was described as a heavy-set Hispanic male adult 25-30 years old, with a goatee and glasses. The suspect was confronted by employees when became combative and brandished a knife. He fled from the area on foot and was last seen wearing a red sweater, tan pants, and black shoes.
