March 10, 2023 - Merced – Merced Police Department officials report on March 7, 2023, at approximately 10:51 P.M., Merced Police responded to a shooting in the area of Dinkey Creek Ave. and Manzanita Ave. in Merced.
Responding officers located a victim in the 2200 block of E. Childs Ave. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and had crashed into two parked vehicles. The victim was transported to a regional trauma center and is expected to survive. The incident is believed to be connected to drug sales and remains under investigation.
