TRAFFIC ADVISORY 
Traffic Restrictions in Mariposa County for the week of Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 7

March 31, 2023 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following work scheduled on State caltrans signRoutes 49 and 140 in Mariposa County.

Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from New Priest Grade Road to Bear Valley Road for drainage work beginning Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 7, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route 140
  • Full highway closure east of Briceburg from Foresta Road to El Portal Road due to slide removal. Motorists are being detoured at Foresta Road and El Portal Road.

    • The left and right shoulders will be closed from Cobey Lane to Carstens Road in Midpines for utility work beginning Wednesday, April 5, through Friday, April 7, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and are advised to find alternate routes, if possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues. For the safety of workers and other motorists, please Be Work Zone Alert.
