April 8, 2023 - Merced – Merced Police Department officials report that on April 6, 2023, the Merced Police Departments Gang Violence Suppression Unit received information from the US Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force that Andy Martin (37) was hiding at a home in Merced.

Merced gang officers and detectives followed up on the information and they served a search warrant in the 3800 block of Colma Ave. Officers were able to locate Martin and place him under arrest. Martin was found to possess 2 firearms and a small amount of cocaine.

Martin was transported to the Merced County Jail where he was booked on his outstanding warrant from Santa Clara County for assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, torture, and domestic violence. Martin was also booked for possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited person and for possession of narcotics.
