April 16, 2023 - Merced Police Department officials reported that on April 13, 2023, at approximately 5:12 P.M., the Merced Police Department received a call of a male juvenile passed out at the Rockin' Jump Trampoline Park located at 1230 W. Main St. in Merced.

Officers responded along with other emergency medical personnel and provided aid to the injured juvenile who was later found to be 10 years old. Witnesses advised the boy was with other children inside the business when he experienced a severe medical issue. Citizens at the scene began life saving efforts before officers arrived.

Officers performed CPR along with other first responders. The boy was transported to a regional trauma center and is in critical condition. Detectives responded to take over the investigation and are working with medical personnel to determine the cause and extent of the child’s injuries.

This incident remains under investigation.
