April 21, 2023 - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with AG Construction announces one-way traffic control on State Route 41 near the caltrans signcommunity of Fish Camp in Mariposa County for road repair work. This work is expected to be completed by the end of May 2023.

The following one-way traffic control will take place twenty-four hours a day (even when crews are not in the area):

  • Starting on Tuesday, April 25one-way traffic control will be in effect on a stretch of State Route 41 in Mariposa County, just south of Jackson Road/Big Sandy Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect each day, twenty-four hours a day, even when crews are not present. This traffic control will not be manned by a physical person but will be dependent on timed equipment.
The closure zone will be up to one mile long. Traffic could be held for up to 10 minutes at a time, while traffic queues clear. Motorists will need to abide by traffic signals and wait until their lane of traffic has been given clearance and will need to proceed with caution.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time each day, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during construction.  These scheduled closures will occur, weather permitting.

Commuters are reminded to abide by all signage and pay close attention to construction vehicles, equipment, and personnel.
