October 3, 2015 - Mariposa County Sheriff Doug Binnewies sent in an update on the progress of the Mariposa County Deputy wounded in the shootout near the fairgrounds on October 1, 2015 .

Our Deputy is doing well. He is strong.  He continues to be intubated but he is cognizant and communicating through hand squeezing and 'thumbs up'.
