April 6, 2024 - Fresno Police Department officials report on Thursday, April 04, 2024, shortly after midnight, a pedestrian was a victim of a fatal hit and run traffic collision at Chestnut Avenue and Clinton Avenue. The suspect vehicle was traveling southbound on Chestnut Avenue and struck the pedestrian as he was in the southbound lanes south of Clinton Avenue. The vehicle continued southbound on Chestnut Avenue towards Cambridge Avenue. The suspect vehicle made a U-turn and went back northbound Chestnut Avenue past the collision scene and then eastbound on Clinton Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect vehicle was captured on surveillance video and is currently outstanding. The suspect vehicle is a white four door sedan.
